There are three gorgeous huge lakes around Bedugul; Lake Beratan, Buyan and Tamblingan. It is possible to swim and to hire local motorboats / jet skis to tour the lakes. On the way home visit Gitgit Waterfall - biggest waterfall in Bali.
Bedugul is located on the main road connecting north and south of Bali. A pleasant climate, splendid view, botanical gardens, fresh tropical fruits and vegetables: these are but a few of the things Bedugul offers. Located on 1500 m above sea level. This is a favourite weekend spot for local Balinese and foreign residents, but few tourist stay here. In this place you can find the lake Bratan: the source of life-giving water for the springs, rivers and rice field bellow in which located in the dramatic temple of Pura Ulun Danu. This temple is dedicated to the goddess of the lake who is revered as a source of fertility. Built by the King of Mengwi in 1633. It consists of four compounds, the two outer most of which are completely surrounded by water.
Tours includes air-conditioned vehicle and local cultural guide and takes one whole day (about 6 hours round trip). Lunch is not included but both local or western lunches are available.
